INTRODUCTION TO MEDICINE WHEEL

For those interested in beginning the transformative work of the medicine wheel, we will work the directions sequentially, one direction per quarter. We will start in the direction of the South, the direction of Serpent, material reality, survival, and the body, where we learn to shed the past the way the snake sheds her skin: all at once. Though I teach the traditional Andean Medicine Wheel, I teach it untraditionally and experientially, bringing in writing, creativity and play to augment the traditional practices. This is a year-long study. Classes meet online, monthly, the first or second Sunday of the month, 10am-2:30pm PST. Please email me at hello@leslieblanco.com if interested.
SOUL GROWING
Central to all shamanic healing traditions is the concept of soul loss and soul retrieval. Soul retrieval requires the assistance of a qualified shaman. Soul growing, on the other hand, focuses on the gentler and more empowering process of soul recovery, in which we learn the language and the secret desires of soul to call our own souls back into our bodies and into our lives. Influenced by master shamans Alberto Villoldo, Sandra Ingerman and Robert Moss, as well as that unacknowledged shaman, The Buddha, Soul Growing combines the year-long study of the Andean Medicine Wheel with weekend workshops on shamanic dreaming, loving-kindness meditation and self-compassion practices, fire ceremony and protective rites. Please email me at hello@leslieblanco.com if interested.
ALL YOU REALLY NEED IS LOVE
Love is contagious. Come catch it! Science has shown that within two weeks of practicing consistent loving-kindness meditation and visualizations, our brains rewire, our relationships improve, the world seems a friendlier place, and not only do we reduce our stress levels and improve our health, we regain a capacity for states of contentment, joy and even bliss. And yes, creativity improves! This is a loving-kindness meditation series with a focus on self-compassion, self-love and self-acceptance practices, as well as a practice of deeply considering our own definitions of love and self-love.
